Historic Bed & Breakfast Inn

Reservations: Please note that we offer secure, online reservations and prefer that all reservations be made in this way. Using our "availability & reservations" link on our home page and on our individual rooms page, you will be able to view a 2 week calendar showing our availability. Using the arrows above the calendar, you can scroll forward, 2 weeks at a time, until you arrive at the date range for your stay. Alternatively, you can click on the miniature monthly calendar and select the month of your stay to view the availability. Choose your room and click on the dates of your stay. You will see a "book" button that you will then click on. This will take you to our secure availability form. From here, just fill in the blanks and submit. Please notify us in advance if you are planning to use any type of gift certificate for any portion of your stay.

Beginning May 15th, 2015, we will be implementing a new process for payment of balance due. We will be charging the remaining balance on your reservation on the day of your arrival or, occasionally, up to 2 days prior to arrival. This will allow for a more streamlined check in process, both for our guests and for us, the innkeepers.

To avoid double bookings, we recommend that all reservations be made online. In the event of a reservation "snafu," we will contact you ASAP to discuss options.

Deposit, Payments, Etc: A deposit equaling one night's stay is payable by credit card when your reservation is made. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, & qualified gift certificates from BedandBreakfast.com, Wisconsin Bed & Breakfast Association, and our own Scofield House certificates. Balances due on your stay will be charged to the card on record on your scheduled day of arrival or, depending on circumstances at the inn, up to 2 days prior to your arrival.

Please note that the "terms & conditions" for BedandBreakfast.com gift cards have recently changed. Effective November 3, 2015, you must notify us - in advance - if you will be using any of these products. You can do this by adding a note for the innkeeper in the space provided on our online reservation form. Or you can send us a separate email. You must provide both the order numbers and certificate numbers, as well as the dollar amount you will be using. This dollar amount is limited to no more than $500 on any qualified stay and is also restricted to room rate only, not applicable for sales tax or any add-ons. BedandBreakfast.com certificates/cards also will not be accepted as payment on any specially discounted room rates, such as our "quiet season" $99 rates.

Room/Rates Info: All B&B rates are per room based on single or double occupancy and include a full hot bountiful breakfast. We do not allow more than 2 people in a room. We do not have sleeper sofas, cots, or air mattresses. Rates do not include taxes and are subject to change.

Weekends: A two-night minimum is required on weekends June-October and holidays.

Cancellations: Cancellations affect us greatly. A full refund will be provided when advised of cancellation 14 or more days prior to expected arrival date. For cancellations received less than 14 days from arrival date, a refund will be issued only if we are able to re-rent the room, for the full number of days. No refunds will be issued if we are not able to re-rent the room. No refunds will be given for unused days as a result of a late arrival or early departure.

Scofield Bed & Breakfast Inn

History: The intricate Victorian Scofield House, built in 1902 for the Scofield family, was the grandest house in Sturgeon Bay. A local businessman, Mr. Scofield owned Scofield Co. Hardware and also served 2 terms as mayor of Sturgeon Bay. The house reflects the opulence of "high" Victorian architecture. Amazing beveled crystal and stained glass windows sparkle with streaming sunlight. The window and door frames are ornamented with hand-carved bows, ribbons, swags and flowers. Gleaming hardwood floors are accented with borders inlaid with geometric patterns of four to five different woods including red and white oak, maple and cherry.

Over a hundred years have passed, and today's guests are still immersed in true Victorian ambience, surrounded by old-world craftsmanship and superb antique furnishings, heirlooms and original Scofield family memorabilia. Images of a time past and things remembered become reality when staying as a guest at the Scofield House.
